Introducing the Digital Accessibility Badging Program

A new online program of self-paced courses can get you started creating accessible content.

The Digital Accessibility Badging program is a series of online, self-paced courses that provide members of the University of Minnesota community with the skills they need to create digitally accessible content. Courses in this series show how to be sure that your content is accessible and complies with University policy. Learn how to create accessible slide decks, web content, and more. Upon completion of each skill-specific course, you will receive a digital badge certifying your mastery of that skill.

What's in the Digital Badge?

A digital badge is an image that carries metadata, validating the skills you demonstrated in a training. Digital badges are shared online through social media and other professional development platforms, such as LinkedIn. You can earn a digital badge that showcases your skills for each training course you complete after Digital Accessibility: Foundations.

These badges will be available in Spring 2020. If you complete training courses now, you will receive the relevant badge for the training as soon as it becomes available.
