When you need digital equipment for an academic project or research work, MediaHub Checkout is your go-to resource!  Located at the ITSS TechCenter, Kirby Plaza 165.
 

MediaHub Checkout offer free access to current students, faculty and instructional staff to over 120 types of equipment, including adapters, a variety of DSLR and mirrorless cameras, full lighting kits and more.

How to Rent Equipment

Renting equipment is made easy with Connect2 software. Standard checkout is 3 days.

  1. Visit the MediaHub website.
  2. Log into the Connect2 portal, and click or select Book MediaHub to browse items.
  3. Add desired items to your basket and proceed to checkout to select your rental dates and times.
  4. Complete all required steps and confirm your booking.
  5. You're all set!

Rent Temporary Licenses for Adobe Creative Cloud

Students and faculty can also check out temporary access to Adobe Creative Cloud for download on their personal devices through MediaHub Checkout. These licenses are rented similarly to equipment and can be requested via Connect2 or walk-up at the TechCenter location in Kirby Plaza 165.

Visit Adobe Creative Cloud Access at UM-Duluth for all Adobe Creative Cloud access points on the UMN Duluth campus.

Course Equipment

Faculty can request course equipment for their students with extended reservation dates and student access to departmental equipment groups for students in your courses.

Faculty can request course equipment by filling out our Request Course Equipment Form.
Currently accepting Spring '25 requests. Fall '26 form will open in April 2025.
