What inspires your art?

As of recently, my students who I taught over the summer. They are so funny, they are allowed to be free and express anything they want. They simply don't care and I want to be just like that.

What is your art making process?

It starts with a large canvas on the floor. I take watered down acrylic and shake it up. Then pour it all on the canvas. I use my hands to spread the paint around like a child. I am not a fan of mixing colors, so I try to keep them as their own separate blocks of bright color. Once it's dried, I splatter more colors on top. Then I continue to draw and add stickers to the canvas. My goal is to make the art look like a child's homework, or my own homework!

How have you used the MediaHub for your art?

I rent cameras all the time. I use them to document my work, which is incredibly mportant as an artist. It allows me to not spend lots of money on a camera, or leave campus to get one. Incredibly convenient and high quality.

What do you hope to do with your artistic ability in the future?

I am going to be an art teacher at any level. I want to teach the youths that nothing has to look good. Art is always a learning experience and is meant to be fun. I feel that the world has lost that idea, as all is expected to be one way.
