Gillian Grocke
Gillian Grocke is the most recent addition to the Enterprise team. She joined ITSS as a Business Analyst on July 26, 2021. In the past three weeks she went through a series of onboarding processes and training programs. Now she is ready to pick up projects and start business analysis work .
Gillian will be providing enterprise solution support and enterprise data retrieval, analysis, consulting, and other reporting services to campus collegiate units helping them in daily business operations and decision making processes. She will also work with the campus partners closely to solicit their business requirements, voice on behalf of their needs, and function as a bridge between them and ITSS developers in designing and developing applications to achieve their various special business missions. In addition, Gillian also shoulders project management and communication job duties along with other ITSS colleagues.
Gillian came to UMD as a student in her Junior year and has never left. She started working in the office of the Registrar as a student in 2015, became a Service Specialist in 2016, and then a Business Analyst in 2019. Gillian's education background is in Anthropology and is working on a Computer Information Systems degree.
Outside of work, Gillian loves to spend time with family, two golden retrievers (one 2 year old and one 5 month old), and one cat. Gillian spends quite a bit of time playing video games and right now is deep into playing Monster Hunter Rise.

Luke Dahlgren
Luke Dahlgren joined ITSS August 16 as an IT Professional - User Support specialist. Luke will be providing Help Desk coverage as well as supporting faculty and staff with their desktop support needs.
Luke's IT career started as a student worker at St. Cloud Technical and Community College, where he worked in the MIS department part-time while pursuing a degree in Network Administration. As part of the program, he completed an internship at a small MSP in St. Cloud and became a full time employee there for about a year. He moved to Duluth with his significant other and worked for a local technology company for the past two years as a Service Desk Technician and then an Escalations Technician. Luke has two cats and has recently started disc golfing. He is excited to start his career here at UMD.

Sharon Skeen
Sharon Skeen joined ITSS August 16 as an IT Professional - User Support specialist. Sharon will be providing Help Desk oversight and end user support to the campus in a variety of areas.
Sharon has worked for the last 14 years in the IT managed services world in a variety of technical positions. Computers are a bit of a shared family interest, as her husband Brett similarly works in IT. Their son Max, who is 11, also enjoys it though currently his primary focus involves Minecraft. Outside of technology, Sharon enjoys the outdoors and all the myriad activities related to it. For more indoor pursuits she enjoys playing video games, reading, painting, and learning new skills such as a current attempt to learn to play the banjo. Sharon and her husband recently obtained their motorcycle licenses and are in the process of fixing up a vintage Suzuki motorcycle for riding. Living near Two Harbors means she's looking forward to being able to ride in to work while enjoying that wonderful Lake Superior view!
Sharon is excited to be joining the ITSS team at UMD and is looking forward to all the new challenges and opportunities to learn that her new role will bring.
