Services
We will provide our full array of services for fall semester:
- Help Desk support for account and password issues
- Technical support at the front counter for access to WiFi, email and other apps on computers or mobile devices
- Computer maintenance and repair check-in service for all University or student-owned devices
- Short term check-out of Chromebooks and other equipment
Hours
Hours for fall semester are Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 4:30 pm.
Updates for Accessibility
Over the summer months, the TechCenter was updated with a new front counter layout to improve accessibility and social distancing.
The new counter was designed with a lower middle section to offer better accessibility for customers. The longer, straight layout also allowed us to create better social distancing for customers at the counter as well as the staff working behind the counter Plexiglass shields, floor decals and a sign-in desk at the front door are other steps taken to help ITSS staff safely provide our services to the campus.
Safety Precautions in Place
ITSS is committed to ensuring the safety of our customers and staff. In addition to the Plexiglass shields and social distancing floor decals:
- All staff working at the TechCenter will be wearing face coverings.
- Working with Facilities Management, we have a daily sanitization process for all common touch points in the TechCenter.
- Hand sanitizer is available as you enter/leave the TechCenter and at the front counter for the staff.
- Chromebooks and other equipment that is checked out will be sanitized prior to checkout and tagged with the sanitization date.
- Staff working on computers for repairs will wear gloves whenever possible and the exterior of the devices will be wiped down before being returned to the customer.
