#ThingsWorthSharing - Video Edition on March 29

Join us for and informal, open ended conversation and learning experience about teaching with video.

Video production is an important part of our teaching experience and there are an abundance of tools and resources available to UMD students, faculty and staff. these include support for hardware and software for video creation, screen recording, video workflows, academic video production, video editing tools. Translating this into our teaching practices can be challenging at times.

ITSS Academic Technology and Course Design Team will be hosting an informal, open ended conversation and learning experience about teaching with video. Together we will be sharing research, strategies, best practices, and resources that can make the following a little less daunting:

  • Zoom
  • Kaltura
  • Flip
  • Any number of resources

When and Where

We will be meeting in the Media Hub, located on the first floor of the Kathryn A. Martin Library from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

Can't Attend the Gathering?

We have 2 ways you can expolore video with us.

1. Contribute to a Shared Document

Attendees and participants will be able to contribute to a shared document. Starting at 10:30 a.m. on March 29 you can comment upon and review our #ThingsWorthSharing Google Doc.

2. Make an Appointment with Us

Setup an in-person or virtual appointment with an Academic Technologist to explore activities, workflows, lessons plans, and course design.
