Academic Technology Center
The Academic Technology Center (ATC) partners with educators at UMD to explore learning technologies and tools. The ATC is located in Kirby Plaza 166 and offers a variety of programming and technology support options for educators, including by-appointment consultations with individual educators, small groups, or departments.
Established in the Fall 2019, the ATC offers the following services:
Drop by Kirby Plaza 166 with questions, ideas, needs etc. related to the technologies used in the courses you're teaching this semester or courses you're setting up for a future semester. No registration is needed for these informal drop-in sessions.
Workshops and Programming
The ATC offers a variety of workshops and programming throughout the academic calendar year. Upcoming workshops and events will be posted on the door of the ATC or explore the latest workshops and programming on our website. New offerings in Fall 2019 include:
- Canvas Jumpstart Workshop (August 21 and 22)
- Canvas Roundtables (More information coming soon)
- Canvas workspace session (9:00 a.m. Thursdays)
