VR Apps

ITSS Emerging Technology curates a library of applications that are used for classroom exercises, demonstrations, and for open houses.  

The list follows below, in alphabetical order:

  • Bait!:  Fishing simulator, mimics resort and deep sea fishing, uses controllers to mimic fishing rod and reel controls
  • Elixir: You are an accident prone, magician's apprentice. Uses hand controls to show of gesture recognition.
  • Goliath: Playing with Reality: Echo (Tilda Swinton) guides you through the many realities of Goliath, a man who spent years isolated in psychiatric institutions but finds connection in multiplayer games.
  • Gravity Labs: Gravity Lab is a physics and electronics puzzle game that will keep you busy figuring out solutions and exploring an abandoned moon base.
  • Gravity Sketch: Free drafting tool - allows users to import images, manipulate and design vr objects, then export for use.
  • Guided Tai Chi: Refresh your mind, body, and spirit with 200+ Tai Chi inspired workouts across 20 beautiful nature settings
  • Home After War: is a room-scale, interactive virtual reality experience that takes you to Fallujah, a city that was, until recently, under Islamic State (IS) control. The war against IS has ended but the city is still unsafe.
  • Job Simulator: In a world where robots have replaced all human jobs, step into the "Job Simulator" to learn what it was like 'to job'.
  • Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes: One player is trapped in a virtual room with a ticking time bomb they must defuse. The other players are the “Experts” who must give the instructions to defuse the bomb by deciphering the information found in the Bomb Defusal Manual
  • Mission: ISS: Quest: Dock a space capsule, take a spacewalk, and let real NASA astronauts guide you on the ISS through informative videos and images.
  • MLK: Now is the Time: Through first-person stories and interactions, “MLK: Now is the Time” drops you into a thoroughly modern interpretation of a contemporary March on Washington that will inform and inspire a new generation of activists.
  • Notes on Blindness: In 1983, after decades of steady deterioration, John Hull became totally blind. To help him make sense of the upheaval in his life, he began documenting his experiences on audio cassettes. These original diary recordings create the basis of this interactive non-fictional narrative which is a cognitive and emotional experience of blindness.
  • Piano Vision: Become a PianoVisionary with the world's premiere VR Music Teacher.
  • PowerWash Simulator VR: Grab hold of your power washer in the super-soothing simulator that has taken the world by storm.
  • ShapesXR: In ShapesXR anybody can start creating in 3D without prior experience within minutes. You can design and prototype your immersive app, invite others to co-create in real-time, or present your ideas using ShapesXR storyboard feature. You can also share your creation with anybody without a VR headset via Web, the Unity plugin or just a picture for your 2D deck.
  • TiltBrush: Unleash your creativity with three-dimensional brush strokes, stars, light, and even fire. Your room is your canvas. 
  • Vader Immortal: You are a smuggler operating near Mustafar, the fiery world Darth Vader calls home. 
  • VirtualSpeech: VirtualSpeech is the ultimate training tool for improving your soft skills. With AI-powered avatars, real-time feedback, and realistic environments, you’ll improve your workplace skills in areas such as presentations, leadership, sales, difficult conversations, and more.
