About

1:Button Studios are fully automated high-definition video recording spaces with professional studio lighting and sound equipment. They are set up to record high-quality video projects without the user needing any knowledge of lights, microphones, and cameras. These studios can make academic video production easy.

Reserving and Using the 1:Button

You can reserve the  1:button Studio located in the Kathryn A. Martin Library Room 142. This space is equipped with a Learning Glass, a clear glass screen that allows users to write, draw, and create in neon colors.

  1. Reserve a time and pick up the key at Library First Floor Service Desk
  2. Once in the room, Enter their email address into the iPad control system.
  3. Touch on the screen to record.
  4. Touch the screen again to end the recording.

An automated email is created and sent with links to video content in four different formats:

  1. Camera only
  2. Laptop or other device only
  3. Side-by-side camera and device
  4. Device with small picture-in-picture of camera

The Kirby Plaza 174 1:Button Studio was removed from service during the summer of 2025.
