Please note: The link "TurningPoint" will be in Canvas' left navigation. When you click or activate that link, it will bring you to the page with term PointSolutions, Echo360.
PointSolutions by Echo360 was formerly known as TurningPoint by Turning Technologies. It will still have some references to TurningPoint and Turning Technologies in the documentations. But the product and how it works stay the same way for now.
Instructors may require a clicker device, a mobile device or allow either option as a response device in their class. Refer to your syllabus or wait for the first day of class for directions from your instructor.
Students are required to purchase a Turning Account license to participate in TurningPoint (now called PointSolutions) sessions. An account license must be purchased if the student is using a mobile device or a clicker. 1-year and 4-year stand-alone licenses and clicker/license packages are available at the UMD Bookstore. At this time, you cannot purchase a Turning Account online.
Used clickers can be used with TurningPoint (or PointSolutions).
The video PointSolutions - Student Registration for Blackboard, BrightSpace, & Canvas can help with the registration process.
