TurningPoint (also called PointSolutions)
TurningPoint (PointSolutions), provided by ECHO360, is an engagement and assessment solution that supports student interaction and participation in real-time using a clicker or mobile device.
To use PointSolutions, students have to set up a PointSolutions Account and purchase a license, whether a clicker or a mobile device is used as a response device. Instructor accounts are free, student account licenses are purchased at the UMD Bookstore.
Instructors can contact the ITSS UMD to get a receiver to try out, and get assistance on setting things up in Canvas. Your questions regarding clickers will be triaged to the Academic Technology team who can assist you.

Getting Started
Create a Point Solutions Account
Create or login to your Turning Account (opens in new window). A Turning Account license is needed for each instructor and student participant whether a clicker or a mobile device is used as a response device. Instructor accounts are free, student account licenses are purchased at the UMD Bookstore. Stand-alone licenses and license/clicker packages are available.
Canvas Integration
TurningPoint/PointSolution has been implemented into UMN Canvas. If a course is using Turning Point Clickers, you will see a link in your Canvas course in the left hand navigation. TurningPoint. When you click or activate the link, it will bring you to the page with the term PointSolutions, Echo360.
