How to find Canvas Link Validator
Most of us don’t have time to continuously check page by page for broken links and 404 errors!
Instead of clicking all things, take advantage of the sort-of hidden feature in Canvas that saves an abundance of time.
From your Canvas Course, scroll down the left hand side to click Settings. In the right hand navigation you will see the link for the Validate Links In Content.

Learn about the AI at an Expo, or as a Fellow!
The University is spotlighting many events and projects that examine Generative AI and impacts. One such event is the Navigating the GenAI Landscape: A UMN Forum for Exploration and Discovery on Friday, Oct 24, 2025.
The program will feature a keynote address by Dr. Wes Fondren, alongside opportunities to attend panel discussions, high-energy, “lightning round” 15-minute presentations, and hands-on workshops. The forum is organized in four tracks:
- Administrative and University Operations
- Getting Started with AI
- Teaching and Learning
- Research
Additionally, the University of Minnesota is seeking faculty who are interested in incorporating and exploring the Generative AI in their curriculum and teaching. Consider applying for the 2026-2027 Emerging Technologies Faculty Fellowship Program; it's a wonderful opportunity to work with other academics, technologists, and instructional designers from around the UMN System.
