Lab Software and Access

Access Software

If your course requires specialized software, you'll automatically be given access based on your course enrollment and requests from your instructor or department.

Depending on the software required for your course, you may see one or more of the following desktop options:

  • Basic Apps: Includes the standard software available to all students.
  • Standard Apps: Includes software that does not require enhanced graphics processing.
  • Performance Apps: Includes software that requires enhanced graphics processing.

Requesting Software

Faculty can request software installed for their lab classes via a service request. Software installation is dependent on the answers to questions such as:

  • Will the software's license agreement allow it?
  • Is it compatible with our licensing metering software?
  • Is it compatible with the other software we currently have on the server?
