Most accessibility barriers happen because creators have not had the opportunity to learn digital inclusion skills. These online courses give you the knowledge to find and fix digital barriers in your daily work.
Learn Accessibility Foundations
Web Accessibility 101: Introduction explores foundational concepts and answers essential questions:
- What is web accessibility?
- What elements make digital content accessible?
- Why do some people have trouble using websites?
- Who holds responsibility for digital accessibility?
You will also complete an exercise by turning off browser features to experience accessibility barriers firsthand.

Find Barriers With Evaluation Tools
Web Accessibility 102: Tools shows you how to test web pages for accessibility barriers. You will practice using the WAVE evaluation tool to discover accessibility errors. Optional practice exercises are also available using Pope Tech and Editoria11y.

Organize Content With Clear Structure
Web Accessibility 103: Structure focuses on using web standards and headings to format content. You will learn how clear visual and structural organization makes web pages easier to read, scan, and navigate.

Write Descriptive Alt Text for Images
Web Accessibility 104: Images covers effective techniques for visual content. You will learn when images need descriptions and how to write clear text for screen readers.
Course dates: November 9 to 20, 2026

All eClasses take place online in Canvas without set meeting times. Each course has a fixed start date and end date. You can complete assignments whenever your schedule allows while engaging with instructors and peers in class discussions.
