Video Introduction to Web Accessibility and W3C Standards

The W3C Web Accessibility Initiative released a video introducing web accessibility and standards.

The 4 minute video highlights:

  • Why accessibility is the right thing to do
  • How accessibility is essential for people with disabilities
  • How accessibility is useful for all

The video was published as part of an accessibility project the Internet Society (ISOC) is working on to realize their vision: "The Internet is for Everyone".

The World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 has been the University of Minnesota's accessibility standard since January 2014 as announced in an ITSS newsletter article.
