The Universal Design Online Inspection Tool or UDOIT (pronounced, "You Do It") is an automated accessibility auditing tool for Canvas courses. It can identify and help correct some accessibility issues. It was created by the Center for Distributed Learning at the University of Central Florida.
How UDOIT Works
UDOIT will scan your individual course content authored within Canvas. Then it generates a report. The report provides basic suggestions on how to correct common accessibility issues identified.

Automated Accessibility Testing Tools
All automated accessibility testing tools have strengths and limitations. They are meant to be used as a guide, not a certification. UDOIT for instance, can help create a more inclusive and equitable learning experience in Canvas. However, it only checks for common accessibility issues. It is not comprehensive. A perfect report does not necessarily mean that your course is fully accessible. Likewise, it may indicate a possible accessibility issue where one does not exist.
