When submitting a request, select "Delivery Service" for any work completed at the TechCenter.
Once your computer is ready, an ITSS staff member will contact you to schedule delivery. We will deliver the workstation to your office and confirm everything is working.
What's Included
- Pick up the computer from the TechCenter and deliver it to your office (UMD locations only).
- Unpack and set up the workstation.
- Install and configure basic accessories, such as monitors, docking stations, and a wireless mouse.
- Verify system setup:
- Confirm network connectivity.
- Confirm you can sign in (Active Directory or local account).
- If applicable, confirm access to network drives (N: and P:).
- Confirm access to transferred data, if data migration was completed.
- Verify that standard software (e.g., Microsoft Office) is installed and working.
- Assist with installing additional university software, if time allows and a valid license is provided.
What's Not Included
- Installation of furniture or fixtures, such as keyboard trays or monitor stands (contact Facilities Management).
- Network jack installation or activation. Submit a Network Service Request in advance.
- Data transfer between computers. This work is completed at the ITSS TechCenter.
- Setup of specialized hardware or software.
- Delivery to home addresses.
