Multimedia Hub Services

Come to the Hub for your fall classroom multimedia needs.

The Multimedia Hub (MMH) located in Library 260 can provide you with captioning, transcription, class tours/tutorials, LinkedIn photos, and much more.

Captioning

Do you have audio or video material on the web or use it in your courses? Are these materials captioned? The Hub can help coordinate your captioning needs. Captioning requests came in early summer and now again are in high demand. Learn more about our captioning services and the UMD Policy on Captioning of Video.

Transcription

The Hub was busy over this past summer transcribing and converting old cassettes and VHS for the Library Archive of Ojibwe history. We have transcribed 42 audio files for the Center for Indigenous Knowledge and can help you with your transcription needs.

Class Tours and Tutorials

Classes are invited to tour or hold a class in the Hub. In addition, you can arrange for tutorials on cameras, tripods, or video editing software.

If you would like to take advantage of these services, please send Mary Olson-Reed ([email protected]) the:

  • Date your class would like to visit us
  • Time of class
  • Number of students

LinkedIn Photo Sessions

LinkedIn photo sessions resume on September 18th Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. We ask that you please have your photos taken during this timeframe, as random drop-ins throughout the week can disrupt class tours and tutorials.
