Media Hub Services, Events, and Spaces
New in Fall 2020! The Media Hub has moved from the second floor to the first floor of the Kathryn A. Martin Library.
The Media Hub services include equipment checkout, tutorials and consultations, LinkedIn Photos by appointment, and Media Accessibility Services such as captioning services, audio descriptions and transcriptions.
New Media Hub events and production spaces are also available, but due to COVID-19, will be limited in offerings and capacity.
Media Hub offers equipment checkout including audio, video and photography equipment. Our new equipment checkout location is on the first floor of the Kathryn A. Martin Library at the end of the circulation desk.
LinkedIn headshot photos are free for all current UMD students, faculty and staff. Opens August 31st on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-8pm.
The Multimedia Hub can help coordinate your captioning needs along with audio description (AD) services, which provides descriptive narration of key visual elements that make visual media inclusive and accessible.
Due to COVID-19 limited Media Hub Events and Production spaces are available. Our current events include LinkedIn headshot photos available by appointment only.
In addition to the Media Hub equipment checkout counter which lends audio, video, and photography equipment for academic and research purposes, the Media Hub has gained new design and production spaces including: Tech Lounge, Production room, Mac Lab, 1:Button/Learning Glass Studio.
