ITSS Media Hub Services, Events, and Spaces
Available to all students, faculty and staff, the ITSS Media Hub located on the first floor of the Kathryn A. Martin Library lends production equipment and provides support for media-based academic and research projects. Available equipment to borrow includes tripods, audio recording, photography and video equipment, graphic design pads, and Adobe Creative Suite applications. Spaces within the Media Hub include a Tech Lounge, production room, iMac lab and 1:Button/Learning Glass studio. Media Hub staff offer virtual drop-in sessions and consultation appointments for questions regarding media equipment, production, post-production, and Adobe Creative suite applications.
Equipment checkout is available to all students, faculty and staff. Request to borrow equipment from our website. Contactless checkout and return options are also currently available.
LinkedIn headshot photos are free for all current UMD students, faculty and staff, offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-2pm.
The Multimedia Hub can help coordinate your captioning needs along with audio description (AD) services, which provides descriptive narration of key visual elements that make visual media inclusive and accessible.
New virtual drop in sessions are available! Join us for drop in sessions to support students, faculty and staff with questions regarding media equipment, production and Creative Suite applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom.
(Closed for Spring 2021 Semester) In addition to the Media Hub equipment checkout counter which lends audio, video, and photography equipment for academic and research purposes, the Media Hub has gained new design and production spaces including: Tech Lounge, Production room, Mac Lab, 1:Button/Learning Glass Studio.
